Although this is a wild part of Spain it is surprisingly well connected and served by 5 airports :

• Castellon de la Plana: 1hr 30mins Ryanair / Wizz from Stansted and Luton
• Reus (Barcelona): 1hr 50mins Ryanair from Stansted
• Zaragoza: 2 hrs Ryanair from Stansted
• Valencia: 2hrs 30mins BA, Easyjet, Ryanair from most major UK Airports
• Barcelona: 2hrs 30mins BA, Easyjet, Ryanair from most major UK Airports

Airlines schedules are returning to pre-Covid timetables from Spring 2021 with British Airways offering customers free amendments (date & destination) on all bookings made before 31st August. Vouchers are available should you wish to cancel your flight. EasyJet, Vueling, Norwegian, Wizz Air and Ryanair have reinstated the majority of their flights but please check cancellation policies prior to booking. 
Barcelona and Valencia have plenty of flight options from all London airports and Edinburgh and Glasgow. Castellon de la Plana airport is just over an hour from Mas de la Serra with both Ryanair and Wizz Air offering return flights from both Stansted and Luton.

Satnav Instructions:

From Barcelona
It is best to head to Tortosa and then Valderrobres

From Zaragoza (Includes driving from ferry ports)
It is best to head to Alcañiz and then to Monroyo and Fuentespalda.

From Reus
Direction of Alcañiz and then turn left in Calaceite. Then direction Valderrobres (sometimes referred to as Vall de Roures in Catalan) continuing to Fuentespalda.

To Mas de la Serra: 

From Valderrobres (sometimes referred to as Vall de Roures in Catalan)

On leaving Valderrobres drive 10km towards Fuentespalda on A1414.  The masia’s turning is signposted on the left next to a farm building just before you reach Fuentespalda. From here it is a 4km steep road with signs at each junction. The road is only part paved and a decent hire car with a bit of clearance is advisable.

From Valencia head to Castellon  (Castelló in Catalan) continuing to San Mateo and follow directions below.

From Castellon airport  head to San Mateo /  Morella and then Monroyo and finally Fuentespalda.

Final directions from Fuentespalda to Mas de la Serra:

The Masia is signed on the right hand side about 1km after the village next to a farm building entrance.  From here it is a 4km steep road with signs at each junction.  The road is only part paved and a decent hire car with a bit of clearance is advisable.
